Boyd collection of U. Coinage that began with an uncirculated 1794 silver dollar. This was Boyd’s primary collection, which had taken many decades and many dollars to assemble. Most of the catalogues were offered in paper covers, a few hardbound copies were made in quarter leather, and as here, less than twenty select individuals received copies in full baby calf leather. This particular copy does not have any name printed on the front, and may have been one of the cataloguer’s personal copies, as the contents are in Mint Condition. There are a few scattered scuff marks on the covers and spine, which do not detract. Very scarce in this format, and the condition is superb, which is probably why it ended up being a part of the Armand Champa library.
