This marvelous set of 4 salt cellars and pepper shakers are created in gorgeous sterling silver and were made by George Shreve & Company, San Francisco, California. Each salt cellar and pepper shakers have world coins soldered around the middle of each piece, then overlaid with sterling silver. Mushroom shaped caps are removable. Hallmarks are: Geo C. San Francisco, Sterling, Bee in a shield, which was not used after 1894, Engraved script monograms L. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Pepper shaker height=2 inches, Width at widest=1-1/2 inches, Salt Cellar height=1 inch, Diameter=1-1/2 inches. This marvelous set of 4 salt cellars and pepper shakers have been well cared for, gently used and are in excellent antique condition. The pepper shakers are free from dents or scratches. The salt cellars each have dimples where the side meets the bottom and there is light scratching on the bottom but they does not diminish the beauty or usability of these fabulous pieces.
