From the Mint of Poland and their’Treasures of the World’ series coins, this absolutely stunning coin depicts the famous work of art known as “Sunflowers” by Vincent Van Gogh. The coin portrays an iconic and vibrant painting of’Sunflowers’ which has become synonymous with the artists name and techniques. It showcases his style and colouring with the bright yellows of Fifteen Sunflowers (in bloom) with yellow-browns featuring in the classic shaped Vase. The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear latex cover. It is all packaged with a beautifully illustrated shipper which includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on the box. This is a very limited piece with only 999 worldwide. Sunflowers is actually the name of two series of still life paintings by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. The first series, executed in Paris in 1887, depicts the flowers lying on the ground, while the second set, made a year later in Arles, shows a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase. Van Gogh’s paintings of Sunflowers are among his most famous. He did them in Arles, in the south of France, in 1888 and 1889.
