This medal is NGC graded PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO. The obverse features an eagle clutching an olive branch, a symbol of peace, inscribed with the year 1945 and the words “LIBERTY” and “WORLD WAR II”. The reverse features rays of sunlight shining on a hanging olive branch, no longer in the clutches of an eagle but now growing fruitfully, inscribed with the words “75th ANNIVERSARY”. A Certificate of Authenticity is included with the original US Mint protective Outer Box. This is truly a marvelous piece both for what it conveys and how remarkably elegant it conveys it.
