This 1994 D World Cup coin is one of a set of three issued to celebrate the XV FIFA World Cup playoff, the final game of which was held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. The obverse (heads) side of the coin shows two players running towards a soccer ball. The word “LIBERTY” is at the top of the coin and “IN GOD WE TRUST” is at the bottom. The year 1994 is on the right of the soccer players. The reverse (tails) side of the coin features the logo of the World Cup USA 94 with laurels on each side. The text “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR” are around the top and bottom. The motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is below the logo.
